Thesis

VIS is currently a sandbox with structure but no throughput. To fulfill its role as Hugh Vega's Tier-1 workspace, it needs a light intake-to-promotion pipeline.

Proposed Workflow

INBOX -> WORKBENCH -> SHELF -> [PROMOTION to vault canon] -> ARCHIVE

The promotion step is the gap: nothing in VIS is canon until handed to Claude Code with Tony's approval. VIS needs a promotion ticket format — a lightweight document that captures:

  • What the file contains
  • Where it should go in the vault
  • What registry entries it needs (if any)
  • Whether Tony has approved

Proposed Next Step

If this idea merits a slot, author PLAN-NNN-vis-promotion-pathway and allocate an ID via SOP-001. Scope: very small — a promotion ticket template and a one-line CLAUDE.md amendment reminding Claude Code to check VIS for pending promotions.

Proposal — WORKBENCH active. Promote to SHELF or kill based on Tony's response.
